The Shins released a new album, Heartworms, in March via Aural Apothecary/Columbia. Now the band have announced a handful more tour dates for this fall, including new shows in Los Angeles, Reno, and Washington DC. They have also announced that Baio (Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio) will be supporting them for most of their November dates. Baio just released his sophomore solo album, Man of the World, late last month via Glassnote. Check out both artist’s tour dates below, along with media from each artist.

The Shins have already shared four songs from Heartworms: “Dead Alive,” “Name For You,” “Mildenhall,” and “Painting a Hole,” as well as two separate videos for two separate versions of “Name For You.” They also covered The Smiths’ 1986 classic “Panic” for a live Spotify session. Heartworms is the follow-up to 2012’s Port of Morrow. As usual, it was all written by Mercer, but this is the first Shins album since 2001’s Oh, Inverted World that Mercer has also self-produced (with the exception of “So Now What,” which was produced by Richard Swift).

Baio released his debut solo album, The Names, in 2015 via Glassnote. Previously he shared Man of the World‘s first single, “PHILOSOPHY!,” as well as a fun video for the song, plus the dark and glitchy ‘80s sounding jam “DANGEROUE ANAMAL” and the bouncy, horn-inflected “Out of Tune.”
