The Shins Announce More Tour Dates
New Album Due in 2012
Aug 01, 2011 The Shins
The Shins have announced more tour dates, which will take place in intimate settings in between previously announced festival appearances. These dates are the first performances since May 2009. The setlist is likely to include songs from a forthcoming fourth Shins album, which will be finished after the tour and out via Aural Apothecary/Columbia sometime next year. It’s been a long wait since 2007’s third album, Wincing the Night Away, although frontman James Mercer has kept himself busy with Broken Bells. The band has also gone through lineup changes over the years. This Shins lineup will consist of Yuuki Matthews (bass), Jessica Dobson (guitar), Richard Swift (keyboards), and Joe Plummer (of Modest Mouse, Mister Heavenly, and others) on drums. It seems as though Mercer is the only original Shins member in this lineup. Check out the dates below.
