Taking a page out of Jack White‘s recent tour playbook, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced plans for an all-acoustic set of performances, a first for the band. Dubbed “In Plainsong,” the eight-show run of shows will take place in mid-June starting in Buffalo before heading out towards the midwest region of the U.S. According to a message from the band, the nightly setlists will not only include classic and current songs from The Smashing Pumpkins’ catalog, but from frontman Billy Corgan’s past side-projects and solo work as well.

After the acoustic performances Corgan and his band will plug in and get extremely loud again with a lengthy stretch of gigs alongside Marilyn Manson. Scroll down below to view the band’s updated calendar.
