Today, future-funk kings The Stepkids (who were interviewed in our Music vs. Comedy issue) announced their self-titled debut full-length (out September 27 via Stones Throw). Produced, recorded, and engineered by the band (on a reel-to-reel no less!) the album follows in the footsteps of the band’s self-titled EP—a pleasing mix of punk, jazz, African, folk, and soul.
