Releasing their sophomore LP Troubadour last year, genre fusion artists The Stepkids have announced that they are sharing a brand new EP—for free. According to a press release, the trio each wrote a song “doing prog-y stuff with nearly every instrument and their nerdy studio gear.” Never intending for any of it to see the light of day, the band found themselves having a meeting with members of their label Stones Throw. Playing some music during the gathering guitarist Jeff Gitelman accidentally shared the EP’s now designated titled track “Wanderers” when he meant to start another track. Once the cat was out of the bag the label insisted on releasing the new material.
