Jul 27, 2010 Cymbals Eat Guitars By John Everhart

The Thermals and Cymbals Eat Guitars, two bands who obviously love the ‘90s, as evidenced by their respective covers of Elliott Smith’s “Ballad of Big Nothing,” always seemed like they’d make great touring partners. And it’s happening this fall, as the pair hit the road together. The Thermals will be showcasing their fine new LP Personal Life, due September 7 on Kill Rock Stars, with Cymbals Eat Guitars serving as openers at most shows, hopefully debuting new material from their still in the writing stages sophomore album.
