The Very Best
The Very Best, aka Malawian singer Esau Mwamwaya and London-based producer Johan Hugo, has announced the release of MTMTMK, the follow-up to their breakthrough 2009 LP Warm Heart of Africa. Due out July 17, the new studio effort was recorded over a five week period in a makeshift studio in Esau’s hometown of Lilongwe, and features guest spots by Amadou & Mariam, Baaba Maal and K’naan, and others. The video for the album’s lead single, “Yoshua Alikuti” is available to watch below.
