Thom Yorke of Radiohead has announced a new solo album, ANIMA, and an accompanying Netflix special directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, a “one-reeler” set to three tracks from the album. A trailer for the special has been shared. ANIMA is due out digitally next Thursday, June 27, the same date as the Netflix special. A physical release is scheduled for July 19 via XL and the vinyl version includes one bonus track not on the digital release. Check out the trailer below, followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.

ANIMA was written by Yorke and produced by longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich. It includes songs previously debuted live during the Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes performances. The physical version will be available on “CD, black double vinyl, limited edition orange double vinyl, and a deluxe 180g heavyweight orange double vinyl which includes a 40-page book of lyrics, and pencil drawings by Stanley Donwood and Dr Tchock.”

The trailer describes a one-reeler as “a motion picture, especially a cartoon or comedy, of 10-12 minutes duration and contained on one reel of film; popular especially in the era of silent films.” It also indicates that the film will screen in IMAX theaters, as well as on Netflix.

A press release includes a definition for the word “anima,” defining it as “an individual’s true inner self that in the analytic psychology of C. G. Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct,” adding, “also: an inner feminine part of the male personality.”

Earlier this week Yorke also announced some new North American tour dates and those are below again. The electronic shows will be with his Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes band (Yorke, Godrich, and visual artist Tarik Barri) and go down this September and October. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, June 21).

Last year Yorke scored his first feature film, Suspiria, and the soundtrack, Suspiria (Music for the Luca Guadagnino Film), was released last fall via XL.

Recently 18 hours of sessions from the landmark 1997 Radiohead album OK Computer were leaked online. Last week the band officially released all 18 hours to Bandcamp for 18 days, available to buy for £18 (around $23), with all proceeds going to Extinction Rebellion, an organization that has been putting together climate change protests in London. In a statement, the band say they were hacked and 18 minidisk files were stolen and held for ransom, with the thieves threatening to release it all. Instead the band has released it. It includes studio sessions, demos, and live material the band recorded.

ANIMA Tracklist:

1. Traffic
2. Last I Heard (...He Was Circling The Drain)
3. Twist
4. Dawn Chorus
5. I Am a Very Rude Person
6. Not the News
7. The Axe
8. Impossible Knots
9. Runwayaway
10. Ladies & Gentlemen, Thank You for Coming (Vinyl bonus track)
