Thurston Moore has been busy. Because one band, or one format isn’t enough, on December 1st, the Sonic Youth bandleader is releasing a book on his own Ecstatic Peace imprint. Titled In Silver Rain With a Paper Key, the hardcover book of art, poetry, and photographs comes with two accompanying 7-inches, containing two acoustic songs, “Blood” and “Circulation.”

And then there’s news of a long awaited follow-up to 2007’s Trees Outside the Academy. In a recent interview with Las Vegas Weekly, Moore stated, “I’m working on a solo record right now, a fully fleshed-out recording of a bunch of new material I’ve been working on for the last year or so. I’m gonna record that end of October into November and try to get it out at some point in the new year, through Matador.”
