Timothée Chalamet Sings “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall” in the First Teaser for Bob Dylan Biopic
Chalamet Stars as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown
Jul 24, 2024
James Mangold’s long awaited Bob Dylan movie, A Complete Unknown, has given us a taste of the musical biopic, sharing its teaser trailer that stars Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan. Watch it below.
The trailer opens with Chalamet’s own vocals singing “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall.” The film is expected to track Dylan finding his footing as a 19-year-old folk singer in New York’s music scene of the ’60s, becoming a worldwide sensation, and to his groundbreaking performance at the Newport Folk Festival where he figuratively and literally went electric. Alongside Chalamet, Edward Norton stars as Pete Seegar, Monica Barbaro plays singer Joan Baez (Dylan’s girlfriend), and Elle Fanning plays artist Sylvie Russo (another of Dylan’s girlfriends).
A Complete Unknown will be exclusively available in theaters this December. Mangold previously directed the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, as well as 3:10 to Yuma (2007), The Wolverine (2013), Logan (2017), Ford v Ferrari (2019), and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023). He’s also in line to write and direct a film based on DC Comics’ Swamp Thing, as well as a Star Wars film.
