Toro y Moi Takes on the “Still Sound” in New MP3
New Album Due Out February 22
Dec 13, 2010
Toro y Moi
Reluctant chillwave king Toro y Moi (aka Columbia, South Carolina’s Chaz Bundick) is tweaking his hazy electro-pop on second album, Underneath the Pine (out February 22 via Carpark.) Today, Spin premiered the first preview track, “Still Sound.” The great new single and new LP were recorded with a live band and feature absolutely no samples. Consequently, “Still Sound” is a booty-shakin’ cross between Toro’s older, zoned-out vibes and side project Les Sins’ 70’s disco-funk-soul. Enjoy. For some background information, check out Spin’s interview with Bundick here.
