Tortoise’s Slow-Coming Album and Summer Tour

After Years of Silence, Chicago Band Hits the Road in Support of Beacons of Ancestorship

Chicago-based Tortoise are set to release their first record in over five years and tour in its support. Beacons of Ancestorship will be available beginning June 23rd, and “Prepare Your Coffin”—one of the new tracks is available for download now through the Thrill Jockey Website. The video can be viewed here.

In addition to the new studio work, Tortoise has also mapped out a wide-reaching summer tour. A European tour is in the works for late summer as well as another U.S. stint in fall.
