Last year Australian post-punkers Total Control released their excellent second album, Typical System, to much buzz from Under the Radar and other U.S. music sites but seemed strangely disinterested in capitalizing on that attention and actually touring the U.S. Total Control’s guitarist/keyboardist/co-songwriter Mikey Young even commented on the band’s lack of touring in an interview with us last year: “I go through stages where I’m really sick of touring. I’ve told every band I’m in that I’m not playing live for an indefinite amount of time. So Total Control, as a live thing, is on hold until at least next year, and who knows what happens by then. It’s a strange time to feel like that, because we have a record out and, if there was a time to tour, now would be a very good time. I just feel it’s better for me now to just chill out.”

Well good news American Total Control fans, the band have now announced a U.S. tour to take place this August in a handful of major cities. The dates are below, followed by the “Flesh War” video.

Total Control Tour Dates:

AUG 1: Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn, NY

AUG 6: The Empty Bottle - Chicago, IL
AUG 8: The Mohawk - Austin, TX
AUG 13: Rickshaw Stop - San Francisco, CA
AUG 14: Berserktown Fest - Los Angeles, CA
