Much like director Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer, David Fincher has established a powerful musical relationship with Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Following their work together on The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo—the former of which led to an Academy Award—it’s been revealed that Reznor and Ross will be contributing the score to Fincher’s latest effort Gone Girl. Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn the film follows Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) after reporting his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary. Under pressure from police and the media, Nick’s portrait of a blissful marriage quickly begins to crumble, begging the question of whether he was responsible for her murder.

A portion of what Reznor and Ross have in store has surfaced online via the tumblr Fuck Yeah Atticus Ross. Scroll down below to watch the newly premiered trailer for the film. Gone Girl arrives in theaters on Oct. 3.
