Two Posthumous Amy Winehouse Albums Are in The Works

In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Mitch Winehouse—the father of Amy Winehouse—revealed that his daughter completed a wealth of recordings before her untimely death in July of last year. “I’m not sure that there is much more but I’m sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two,” he speculates. “There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don’t want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don’t want to put out dross.”

No news yet on when the estate plans to release new material. However, in related Winehouse news, Peter Doherty recently announced that he will use lyrics penned by his former art partner on his next solo album. Just this week, rapper Nas premiered a new track called “Cherry Wine” that features Winehouse. Take a listen below.
