Ty Segall has announced a new album, which is self-titled, and shared its first single, “Orange Color Queen.” Ty Segall is due out January 27, 2017 via Drag City. Below is “Orange Color Queen,” followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art, as well as some tour dates.

The prolific musician just released his last album, Emotional Mugger, this past January via Drag City. To confuse matters, this is actually his second self-titled album, his 2008 debut full-length was also titled Ty Segall. The new album was recorded with a backing band that featured Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Charles Moothart, and Ben Boye. A press release promises: “It’s got some of the most lobe-blasting neckwork since the Ty Segall Band’s Slaughterhouse (from way back in the long, hot summer of 2012), but it also features a steep flight of fluent acoustic settings.” In fact “Orange Color Queen” is a fairly chill affair for Segall (the press release calls it “a supreme moment of tenderness”).

Ty Segall Tracklist:

1. Break A Guitar
2. Freedom
3. Warm Hands (Freedom Returned)
4. Talkin’
5. The Only One
6. Thank You Mr. K
7. Orange Color Queen
8. Papers
9. Take Care (To Comb Your Hair)
10. Untitled
