Under the Radar magazine is excited to reveal the full lineups, poster, and set times for our two SXSW 2015 events. This year we are having a day party at the Flamingo Cantina on Thursday, March 19, and an official nighttime showcase at Central Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 21. Our events are set to feature performances from of Montreal, Mew, Torres, San Fermin, East India Youth, Matthew E. White, Jacco Gardner, Boxed In, SOAK, Amason, Springtime Carnivore, Pompeii, Talk in Tongues, and Dinner.

Our Thursday day party is sponsored by Red Eye Transit, MailChimp, and Polyvinyl, and will feature free beer courtesy of Sapporo USA. It is free and open to the public (21+), no RSVP is required but you can RSVP for priority entry. For our Saturday nighttime showcase, priority entry will be given to SXSW badges and wristbands. Below are the full lineups and all the info on each event.

Thursday, March 19 at Flamingo Cantina:

5:00 PM: of Montreal

4:05 PM: Mew

3:15 PM: East India Youth

2:25 PM: Jacco Gardner

1:35 PM: SOAK

12:45 PM: Matthew E. White

12:00 PM: Pompeii

This event is free and open to the public-no SXSW badges are required (but it is 21+). You’re welcome to just show up on the day, but you can RSVP via our Eventbrite page for priority entry. An Eventbrite RSVP does not guarantee entry, but will put you in a priority line if the venue is at capacity. Please do not RSVP here and we also encourage you to show up on the day if you forget to RSVP. If you want to see of Montreal and/or Mew then we advise you to RSVP and to also show up early.

Our Thursday party will feature free beer courtesy of Sapporo USA (while supplies last), so also get there early for that (and free Under the Radar magazines).

Red Eye Transit is one of our main sponsors for the day. Red Eye Transit is a video-centric record label based in Austin, Texas. It hosts an eclectic roster of artists from all over the globe and strives to bring new and exciting music to listeners everywhere. Red Eye Transit’s motto puts it best: “In love with the now, the new, the overlooked, and the unheard.” Their artist Pompeii is opening the party.

Polyvinyl, the long running Champaign-Urbana, Illinois based record label, is also one of our sponsors. Matt Lunsford and Darcie Knight Lunsford founded the label, starting it as a fanzine called Polyvinyl Press in 1994 and transforming into a record label by 1996. Their artists of Montreal and Jacco Gardner are playing the event and other artists on the label include Alvvays, Deerhoof, The Dodos, Japandroids, Wampire, and Xiu Xiu.

MailChimp is an additional sponsor. More than 5 million people use MailChimp to create, send, and track email newsletters.

The Thursday party will happen from 12 to 6 PM at the Flamingo Cantina at 6th and Red River (515 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701). This is the tenth year in a row that Under the Radar has hosted events at SXSW.

Saturday, March 21 at Central Presbyterian Church:

1:00 AM: Torres

12:00 AM: Amason

11:00 PM: Boxed In

10:10 PM: Springtime Carnivore

9:20 PM: Talk in Tongues

8:20 PM: San Fermin

7:30 PM: Dinner

This year, after a decade of unofficial daytime events, Under the Radar is also hosting our first ever official nighttime SXSW showcase. SXSW badges and wristbands get priority admission to this event. Walk-ups on the night hoping to buy single tickets to the event might be let in, capacity permitting. The event is all-ages. You cannot RSVP for this event. The Central Presbyterian Church is one of our favorite venues at SXSW, the acoustics are fantastic and the atmosphere is really special, so we are honored to be having our first official nighttime showcase there.

This Saturday night event will happen from 7:30 PM to 1:40 AM. The Central Presbyterian Church is at 200 E. 8th Street, Austin, TX 78701 (which is at the corner of 8th and Brazos).

We hope to see you in Austin!

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your website.
It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your
theme? Excellent work!

A reputed portland catering company will offer the best food at an event. The organizers should think about everything, which includes the food and beverage as well. If the event is successful after the presentations, the audience should have a special time to exchange information, to eat something and to talk about the ideas and products presented at the event.
