Vampire Weekend are releasing a new album, Father of the Bride, this April via Columbia (exact release date TBA). They have already shared two songs from it: “Harmony Hall” (which was #2 on our Songs of the Week list) and “2021.” Now they have announced some 2019 North American tour dates. They stretch from May to October and go on sale to the general public on February 8 at 12 p.m. local time, with a fan presale starting February 5 at 10 a.m. local time. Check out all the dates below, followed by “Harmony Hall” and “2021” again, as well as a tour graphic the band has shared.
Father of the Bride is the band’s fourth album and is expected to feature 18 songs in 59 minutes. The band’s last album was 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City. Since then founding member/producer Rostam Batmanglij left the band as a full-time member.
Frontman Ezra Koenig wrote “Harmony Hall,” which was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and Koenig, with additional production by Batmanglij. Koenig and Haruomi Hosono wrote “2021,” which produced by Rechtshaid and Koenig.
