Glastonbury Festival
Despite headliners U2 having to cancel their appearance, Glastonbury, one of the biggest and greatest music festivals, still seems to have been wholly successful this past weekend (even the English weather cooperated). There were many surprises at the 40th Glastonbury, including Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood performing “Karma Police”; Shakira covering The xx’s “Islands”; Stevie Wonder paying a tribute to Michael Jackson; Gorillaz collaborating with Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, and The Fall’s Mark E. Smith; The xx and Florence Welch together; Muse covering “Where the Streets Have No Name” with help from U2’s guitarist the Edge; and Kylie Minogue returning to the stage playing with Scissor Sisters. Below are videos of the highlights from the 2010 Glastonbury Festival.
