Mancunian synth-pop band W.H. Lung has unveiled the final track from their upcoming album Every Inch of Earth Pulsates with the release of the single “Bloom and Fade.” Reflecting on the song, vocalist Joseph Evans described how the lyrics seemed to flow out of him effortlessly: “I remember finishing the lyrics to ‘Bloom and Fade’ feeling like the whole song had slipped out fully formed from somewhere between my heart and my belly. But this song was not my life. It didn’t sound like any past experience nor did it describe anything that was currently occurring. However, I shit you not, six months later, it all happened to me.” He added that recording the track felt like “coming home to something.”

The band’s third album sees them focusing on capturing the energy and spirit of their live performances, which have earned them recognition as one of the UK’s most viscerally exciting live acts. Recorded in Sheffield with renowned producer Ross Orton, who has worked with artists like Arctic Monkeys and MIA, Orton’s hands-on approach helped the band channel their raw energy into a vibrant, dynamic sound.

Every Inch of Earth Pulsates follows the band’s previous albums Incidental Music (2019) and Vanities (2021).
