Featuring Interview with Member That Evaded Arrest

Pussy Riot
Last night the esteemed broadcast journalists at 60 Minutes featured profile on the Russian punk collective Pussy Riot. As you might recall last year three members of the balaclava-wearing feminists were arrested and sentenced to prison when the band performed a “protest prayer” at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
Featuring interviews with Yekaterina Samutsevich, who was released in October after successfully appealing her verdict, as well as Pyotr Verzilov, the husband of jailed member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, reporter Lesley Stahl managed to track down the group’s drummer “Kot,” who managed to evade capture after the protest at the church by hiding in the group’s practice space.
Click below to watch segment, which shows that Pussy Riot are still active in their cause.
