Watch: Amason - “Kelly” Video
Sky City Out Now via Fairfax Recordings/INGRID

Amason
Amason were one of the highlights of Under the Radar‘s official nighttime SXSW showcase back in March and now the Swedish band have released a video for “Kelly.” The partly animated video for “Kelly” was directed by Scandinavian visual artist Tobias Centerwall. It features, among other things, people’s heads exploding into a pile of bird feathers.
Centerwall also directed Amason’s video for “Duvan” and somewhat cryptically explains the “Kelly” video in a press release: “The Queen Bee of the silhouettes sending out signals. The winds blow debris. Our street gang gets new members. Minds are blown, literally. We pick up where ‘Duvan’ left off and meet the wizard behind the curtain.”
The song can be found on the band’s debut album, Sky City, which came out back in January on Fairfax Recordings/INGRID. Amason’s members also play in other notable Swedish bands and are Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Gustav Ejstes (Dungen), Petter Winnberg (Little Majorette), Amanda Bergman (Hajen, Idiot Wind), and Nils Törnqvist (Little Majorette).
