On Dec. 23 UK musical artist Anna Calvi will release her track “Suddenly” as the latest single off her sophomore album One Breath. Coinciding with the single’s announcement, Calvi has shared a dramatic music video for the song directed by longtime collaborator Emma Nathan. “I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with Anna visually throughout both of her albums and through this a visual language has developed that accompanies her musical aesthetic,” says Nathan in a press release. “The song connected with me in a filmic way, it spoke of black and white, late 40’s, classic, emotional, Billy Wilder and Douglas Sirk. These were the images I got when listening to ‘Suddenly’, those of deeply withheld emotion and extreme release.”
