Still going strong touring behind last year’s Reflektor, Arcade Fire played the second of a two-day stint in Los Angeles last night. Kicking off their encore, the Montreal-based collective pulled out a rather unconventional cover, performing Harold Faltermeyer’s classic synth instrumental “Axel F,” otherwise known as the theme song for Beverly Hills Cop. Introducing the song frontman Win Butler joked that “It was actually written about Axl Rose. People don’t realize that.”

Click below to watch a bit of fan-captured footage of the performance as it transitions in “Normal Person.”
