Weyes Blood and Ariel Pink recently put out a collaborative EP, Myths 002, via Mexican Summer. Previously the duo shared the EP’s first single, “Tears on Fire.” Now the song has a video. Charlotte Linden Ercoli Coe directed the silly clip, which features Ariel Pink as a Medieval knight and Weyes Blood (aka Natalie Mering) dramatically singing in front of flames. Watch it below.
Myths 002 partly ties into Mexican Summer’s Marfa Myths festival on March 9 - 12 in Marfa, Texas. Weyes Blood is involved in a collaborative performance at the festival, although with Perfume Genius instead of Ariel Pink. Ariel Pink is scheduled to release a new album on Mexican Summer later this year.
Weyes Blood’s Front Row Seat to Earth was featured on our Top 100 Albums of 2016 list.
