In anticipation of his curated Eaux Claires Music and Arts Festival, taking place in his hometown of Eau Claire, WI, Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon has issued the best kind of promotional video: his own stripped-back piano cover of Spoon‘s “Inside Out.” Shot in the dead of night outside under a full moon, the rendition is a haunting reminder of how tragically long it’s been since Vernon released his last album. The Eaux Claires Music and Arts Festival takes place July 17-18, and will feature performances from Bon Iver, The National, The Tallest Man on Earth, Spoon, Sufjan Stevens, Sylvan Esso, and many others.
