Watch: Brian Eno - “Day of Light” Video
Featuring Fan Submitted Photos
Jan 09, 2013 Brian Eno
On Nov. 17, to celebrate the release of his newest album LUX, Brian Eno premiered a special audio-visual collaboration called “Day of Light.” Encompassing four broadcasts of the album, the project had Eno reaching out to fans and asking them to send in photos that played off the theme of day’s natural light. Curated by Eno and his team in real time, each successive playthrough of the 75 minute album captured a different atmosphere, from sunrise, day, sunset, and night.
Of the over 6000 pictures submitted, Eno has now culled together his favorites for unique video, which has been made available online to watch. In a statement by Eno, “I think we were all taken aback at the scale of the response: over 6000 pictures! But even more remarkable was the high quality…it made the task of selecting which ones would finally be streamed (there wasn’t time to show them all) quite difficult. I was very touched that so many people responded and shared their work.”
