Watch Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in the Second Trailer for the Movie
Captain Marvel Due Out March 8, 2019 via Marvel/Disney
Dec 03, 2018 Brie Larson
Captain Marvel, which stars Oscar winning actress Brie Larson (Room, Kong: Skull Island) as the title character (aka Carol Danvers), is the first Marvel movie to be headlined by a female superhero. The film is due out March 8, 2019 via Disney. The first trailer was shared back in September. Now here’s the second trailer, which shows off more footage. Watch it below.
Directing team Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson, Mississippi Grind) co-wrote and directed Captain Marvel. The film takes place in the 1990s (hence Captain Marvel crashing into a Blockbuster Video in the opening of the first trailer) and features Samuel L. Jackson playing a younger version of his Nick Fury character, with Clark Gregg also playing a younger version of his Phil Coulson character (as currently seen on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. TV show), both via de-aging special effects. The cast also includes Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, Jude Law, Annette Benning, and others.
