As you probably already know by now, last month Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl broke his leg at a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden after falling off the stage and the band cancelled the rest of their European tour (including their Glastonbury headliner slot for which they were replaced by Florence and the Machine, who covered Foo Fighters during their set). This past weekend Foo Fighters returned to the stage for their 20th anniversary/July 4th show at Washington DC’s RFK Stadium. Grohl played the whole set seated in a giant purpose built light up throne that moved around the stage. You can check out fan videos of the show below, including one where he tells the audience about how he broke his leg and shows off footage of him breaking his leg and an image of an x-ray of his leg. He also shows a sketch he drew of the throne when he was high on painkillers.
