Watch Captain America and Iron Man Battle Each Other in First “Captain America: Civil War” Trailer
Due Out May 6, 2016
Nov 25, 2015 Marvel
Last night during Jimmy Kimmel Live the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War was premiered with the help of stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America). And while the stars may have seemed all buddy buddy on the show, in the movie their two characters are at odds with each other. Based on the Marvel Comics event series Civil War from 2006 and 2007, the government tries to regulate superheroes, which puts the heroes in two camps, pro and against regulation, forcing them to fight each other.
All of the Avengers are in this one, minus Thor and Hulk, as is Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. The film also introduces Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther (who does briefly show up in the trailer) and Tom Holland as Spider-Man (who is nowhere to be seen in this first trailer). The film is the follow-up to 2014’s Captain America: Winter Soldier and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, was directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo (as was Winter Soldier), and is due out May 6, 2016.
