Watch: Cate Le Bon - “Love Is Not Love” Video
Crab Day Out Now via Drag City
May 24, 2016
Cate Le Bon
Welsh singer/songwriter/guitarist Cate Le Bon released her new album, Crab Day, on Drag City last month. Now Le Bon has shared a video for “Love Is Not Love.” Phil Collins (no, not that Phil Collins) directed the clip, which features Le Bon and some dancers in a church. Watch it below.
Previously Le Bon had shared a funny album trailer and the videos for “Wonderful” and “Crab Day.” Le Bon cryptically commented on the album in an earlier press release: “Crab Day was lovingly formed in the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, as it quietly mocked us with its magnitude. It’s the sound of the ‘accidentally on purpose’ coming together of the right people at precisely the right time in an environment that furnished and fueled the abandonment we felt effortlessly. It’s a coalition of inescapable feelings and fabricated nonsense, each propping the other up. Crab Day is an old holiday. Crab Day is a new holiday. Crab Day isn’t a holiday at all.”
Last year Le Bon teamed up with Tim Presley of White Fence as DRINKS, who released their debut album, Hermits On Holiday, via Birth Records and Heavenly Recordings. Be sure to read our 2015 interview with Le Bon and Presley about Hermits On Holiday.
