The One Love Manchester benefit concert took place yesterday at Manchester, England’s Old Trafford cricket ground. It was organized by Ariana Grande to benefit the victims of the terrorist bombing at her concert at Manchester Arena that killed 22 people and featured performances by Grande, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell, and others. Coldplay performed towards the end of the concert and their portion started with a cover of Oasis’ 1995 classic “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” a bit of a Manchester anthem since Oasis are hometown heroes. Grande joined Chris Martin on stage and kind of sang along, while also encouraging the crowd to sing (lyrics were projected behind the performers). On the Oasis original Noel Gallagher took lead vocals, but later in the concert his estranged brother Liam Gallagher took the stage to perform some other Oasis songs. Watch the performance below, which was broadcast live on the BBC in the U.K. and on Freeform and ABC in the U.S. Donate to the British Red Cross here to help the victims or buy merchandise from the One Love website to also benefit the fund.
