Watch Courtney Barnett Perform an Acoustic Version of “Depreston” as a Web-Exclusive For Fallon
Filmed When She Performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Two Weeks Ago
Jun 29, 2015 Courtney Barnett
A couple of weeks ago Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist Courtney Barnett stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Pedestrian at Best.” While she was there they also filmed her doing an acoustic version of “Depreston,” just Barnett and her guitar performing to a seemingly empty studio. Today The Tonight Show posted the web-exclusive clip to their YouTube channel. The stripped back arrangement highlights Barnett’s descriptive storyteller lyrics.
“Depreston” can be found on Barnett’s debut full-length album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, which is out now. Check out the video below and pick up Under the Radar’s current print issue to read our “The End” interview with Barnett on death and endings.
