EL VY (the project of The National’s frontman Matt Berninger and former Menomena member Brent Knopf, who also records as Ramona Falls) released their excellent debut album, Return to the Moon, at the end of October via 4AD. Now they have shared a video for “No Time to Crank the Sun.” As with all of EL VY’s videos thus far, Matt’s brother Tom Berninger directed the clip. The black & white video shows the behind-the-scenes as EL VY participate in various promotional opportunities (interviews, late night TV appearances, radio sessions), except that it’s all speeded up so you can get a feel of the craziness of it all. Check it out below (followed by their tour dates) and don’t forget that EL VY are on the cover of our current print issue.
