American Epic is a new PBS documentary series executive produced by Jack White, Robert Redford, and T Bone Burnett that premieres June 6. It focuses on 1920s music and is accompanied by a 100-song box set soundtrack, The American Epic Sessions. Now a clip from the show has been shared featuring White and Elton John performing and recording a new blues song, “Two Fingers of Whiskey,” with John on piano and taking lead vocals and White on electric guitar and also singing. Watch it below. The show features musicians (including Beck, Alabama Shakes, Steve Martin, etc.) using old school recording technology to record songs.
