Watch: First Four Minutes of Elliott Smith Documentary “Heaven Adores You”

Last month the San Francisco International Film Festival hosted the world premiere of Heaven Adores You, a new documentary about the life and work of Elliott Smith. Directed Nickolas Rossi the film project was Kickstarted in 2011 not only features archive footage and music, but also includes interviews with Smith’s family, bandmates and collaborators.

While the film is still awaiting a larger commercial release, footage of its opening minutes have surfaced online, featuring a 1998 interview with Smith about his performance at the Academy Awards, having had “Miss Misery” from Good Will Hunting get nominated for Best Song.
