Watch First Trailer for Aziz Ansari’s New Netflix Comedy, “Master of None”
Premieres November 6

Aziz Ansari
Aziz Ansari returns to TV with Master of None, which premieres on Netflix November 6. The former Parks & Recreation stars, writes, and directs the 10-episode series. It’s loosely based on Ansari’s own life experiences, but unlike similar comedies Louie and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Ansari is not playing himself but instead is a character named Dev, who’s a struggling 30-year-old actor in New York. Below is the show’s first trailer. Watch as Ansari navigates love (in the opening he races to get a morning after pill for his girlfriend, played by Saturday Night Live‘s Noel Wells), race (he assumes his girlfriend’s grandmother is racist and also discusses white-washing in the film industry), and success in the Big Apple. Fun fact: Ansari’s real life parents play his mom and dad on the show.
