Richmond, Virginia singer/producer Matthew E. White and British singer Flo Morrissey have teamed up for Gentlewoman, Ruby Man, a collaborative album of covers that came out last month via Glassnote. It includes covers of songs by James Blake, Frank Ocean, Leonard Cohen, The Velvet Underground, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and more. Last night the duo stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform their cover of “Grease,” the title track to the iconic 1978 movie musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The song was written by Bee Gees’ Barry Gibb and the original version was sung by Frankie Valli and White and Morrissey recently shared a video for their cover. Watch their performance below.
