Back in 2010 Baltimore synthpop trio Future Islands released their sophomore album In Evening Air. Today artist Kimya Nawabi has unveiled a fantastical stop-motion visual for the album’s included single “Walking Through That Door.” Painstakingly created over the course of eight months and funded entirely through Kickstarter, the music video tells the story of a gold-sequined girl awoken in the night by a magical bear who does what he can to rid her of her tears. “When someone else loves you endlessly and honestly, it allows you to open up in ways that are very real and raw,” says Nawabi in an interview with Nowness. “I feel that Sam is singing of a deep love that he has experienced and I wanted the characters to really show this.”
