Earlier this month Baltimore synth-pop ensemble Future Islands announced the upcoming release of their new album Singles. Today the band has premiered a music video for the LP’s lead single “Seasons (Waiting On You).” Directed by frequent Future Islands collaborator Jay Buim, the visual looks into the world of the American heartland, editing together a touching portrait of a modern cowboy.

”For us, sometimes, it’s quite spellbinding how Jay can translate our sound into an image,” says vocalist Samuel T. Herring in a press statement. “‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’ is a song about love, letting go, learning from your mistakes and always feeling that pull–yearning for a certain love, as time goes by and seasons change,” “It is simply a song about the human experience.”
