The Horrors
Rose Elinor Dougall (a former member of The Pipettes and Mark Ronson‘s band, but also a great solo artist) recently teamed up with Tom Furse of The Horrors and Cathy Lucas of Fanfarlo to form Innerspace Orchestra and release their debut single, a fantastic cover of Manfred Mann’s “One Way Glass.” Now the single has a video. Alden Volney directed and animated the clip, which features trippy visuals rather than images of the band. Watch it below.
On “One Way Glass” Dougall’s vocals are at the fore, but musically there are definite hints of The Horrors, with shades of psych-rock and Eastern flourishes in the strings. The single is out now digitally via Different Recordings, an imprint of PIAS. There’s no word of when an album or EP is expected.
