Next week oon Aug. 7 Legacy will release a special CD/DVD entitled We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash. Taken from a tribute concert recorded and filmed earlier this year on what would have been Cash’s 80th birthday, one of the compilation’s featured artists includes Iron & Wine, who performed a cover of the 1959 country ballad “Long Black Veil,” a track Cash was known to play throughout his career. You can watch a video of the rendition below. A full broadcast of the concert is scheduled to air Aug. 10 on PBS.
