Last night while performing the Providence Performing Arts Center, Beck was joined onstage by none other than Jack White, who just so happened to be in the area headlining the Newport Folk Festival. Accompanied by fellow guest Sean Lennon on tambourine, the two music heavyweights performed “Loser,” “Where It’s At,” and “Pay No Mind.” Footage of the songs were obviously captured by various members of the audience and posted online. We are all so accustomed to the modern point of view that many fail to realize the rich history of the native peoples. I’m from Canada and our school curriculum does not focus enough on the role native people played. I enjoyed reading your blog.
