Before he was appointed Record Store Day Ambassador, Jack White was coming up with all kinds of fun ways to get listeners to love vinyl as much as he does. Back in 2010 White came up with the “Triple Decker Record” hiding a 7’’ inside a 12’’ (you had to committ to cracking open the 12’’ to hear the 7’‘).

In a new VH1 program called “For What It’s Worth,” a new show exploring the “intricate world of music and pop culture memorabilia,” hosts Gary Dell’Abate and Jon Hein made a stop at White’s Third Man Records Nashville headquarters to talk about the Triple Decker Record and some of his other items.

Click below to watch a preview of the episode, premiering tonight at 10 p.m. on VH1 Classic (via AntiQuiet), as well White’s original introduction to the format from 2010.
