“The Ring” is the debut single off Jamie Lidell‘s forthcoming LP, Compass, and today the neo-soul singer released its accompanying video. On the album cut, Lidell is aided in his blues stomp by Chilly Gonzales and Grizzly Bear‘s Daniel Rossen, but here he’s left to dig for gold in the sand alone. The clip (below) was lensed by Under the Radar contributing photograpgher Lindsey Rome (who’s part of the Crackerfarm team that shoots for us) in double vision on a beach in Western Australia.

The full album is available May 20 via Warp and the digital/seven-inch single is out May 4. Also, Lidell will play some N.Y. and L.A. album preview gigs. See all of the upcoming concerts below.
