José González has premiered a brand new music video for his latest single “Leaf Off / The Cave,” featured on the artist’s upcoming LP Vestiges & Claws. Directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson and shot in Gothenburg, Sweden, the visual captures González and his band as they perform the song in front of a congregation, intercut with slow-motion portraits of the attendees and their families.
The whole thing supposedly takes inspiration from the real-life Sunday Assembly movement, which attempts to provide a non-religious alternative while still providing a communal sense of place among its participants. Click below to watch. Vestiges & Claws comes out Feb. 17.
