Recently releasing her latest album Nepenthe ethereal songwriter Julianna Barwick has premiered a brand new music video for her included “The Harbinger.” Helmed by frequent collaborator Derrick Belcham, the visual captures the ghostly quality of the music with Barwick floating near motionless in a pool. Belcham explains in a press release that “the video illustrates a moment in which an individual makes a sudden choice which they know will change their life forever, for better or worse, and the freedom that this affords them, liberating or oppressive. It is a non-linear illustration of catharsis.” Click below to watch.
