Singer/songwriter Julien Baker released her new album, Turn Out the Lights, back in October via Matador, her first for the label. It was our Album of the Week and more importantly it was #2 on our Top 100 Albums of 2017 list. Last night she stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform the album’s title track, “Turn Out the Lights.” Baker performed solo, with just her electric guitar, and it was a stunning rendition, especially at the end as her voice and guitar both get louder. Watch it below.
Baker is on the cover of Under the Radar‘s current print issue (Issue 62/Fall 2017).
