Kate Bush is releasing a new 3-CD live album, Before the Dawn, recorded during her Hammersmith Apollo residency in London in 2014, which were her first shows in 35 years. It’s due out December 2 via Conchord. Now she has shared a video for one of the album’s tracks, “And Dream of Sheep,” which was originally found on 1985’s classic Hounds of Love album. It’s a song about a woman lost at sea and so the video features Bush swimming in a water tank in Pinewood Studios. She contracted mild hypothermia while filming the video and had to take a day off to recover before finishing the video the day after that. The vocals were also recorded in the water tank, rather than being taken from the live album. Watch it below via The Guardian.

Kate Bush can write songs about relationships, sure, but she can also write songs about rubber bands, machines that control the weather, I’m not Godwinning, it’s a beautiful song, one of my favourites of hers, how much she loves music, and she’s an amazing storyteller. Not sure what genre of music custom plastic tank fabrication are looking for. A lot of the suggestions seem to be from mainstream artists, Riot Grrls, or artists that started in Womyn’s Music and then crossed over.
