
Watch Lorde Cover “Life on Mars” in David Bowie Tribute at BRIT Awards

At the BRIT Awards tonight there was a tribute to the late David Bowie (who passed away in January). It was led by Lorde and she covered “Life on Mars” with help from various musicians who had played with Bowie over the years. Said backing band included Mike Garson, Gerry Leonard, Earl Slick, Gail Ann Dorsey, Catherine Russell, and Sterling Campbell. The backing band did a Bowie melody and then Lorde joined in. Eurythmics’ Annie Lennox introduced actor Gary Oldman who then accepted on Bowie’s behalf the posthumously awarded Icon Award. Watch the Lorde performance below.
